Karen Elkins of Potosi, Missouri has been arrested and charged with multiple narcotic violations.
A Police Officer was dispatched to Cheryl Drive due to a person slumped over the steering wheel in a parked vehicle.
Upon arrival, the Officer made contact with Elkins. She informed the Officer that she was merely sleeping. With further investigation, the Officer was granted permission to search the vehicle by Elkins.
The search revealed multiple grams of narcotics: suspected fentanyl, methaphetamine and cocaine.
Elkins was later charged with 2 counts of Drug Trafficking - 2nd Degree, Possession Of Controlled Sustance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Prior Drug Offense.
Elkins is currently incarcerated in the Washington County Jail with a bond of $100,000.000 cash only!
All charges are accusations. All parties are innocent until proven guilty by the court of law.
